Fruitarian Diet for Weight Loss

In a fruitarian diet for weight loss the only parts of plants used are the fruit, nuts, seeds and other plants matter that can be gathered without harming the plant. In other words, ‘culinary’ fruit (apples, oranges, pears etc) and ‘botanical’ fruit or seed-containing reproductive parts of flowering plants (beans, berries, capsicums, cucumbers, grains, nuts, peas, pumpkins, seeds, squash, tomatoes, and the like), can be eaten but not carrots, potatoes or spinach etc. which require destruction of the plant.

The fruitarian diet and lifestyle includes avoiding all cooked food and consider it unhealthy for the individual and pollutant to the environment. Contrary to Fruitarian Diet, cooked food is considered to be causing unbalanced nutrition, all kinds of disease, mood swings, cravings for synthetic nutrients and chemicals, decrease of vitality, loss of external beauty and loss of inner happiness, depreciation for life and lack of wisdom.

Potential positive aspects of fruitarian diets

Despite the problematic nature of fruitarian diets in the long-term, we want to acknowledge the following positive aspects of fruitarian diets:

• Short-term cleansing or weight loss. Such diets, if not contraindicated by health conditions, may have a positive short-term (weeks or months, but not years) application as a weight-loss diet or as a healing/cleansing diet (i.e. a substitute for fasting). Readers are advised to consult with a qualified health professional regarding the suitability of fruit diets (e.g. some contraindications are: sugar metabolism disorders [diabetes, hypoglycemia, pancreas disorders], renal [kidney] disorders, chronic diarrhea, etc.).

• As a brief spiritual exercise. If one is in good health and feels spiritually drawn to the fruitarian diet, then a short period on the diet -a spiritual experiment- may be a positive part of a person’s spiritual growth process.

• Lesser-percentage fruit diets less problematic. Diets that are less than 75% fruit may be less problematic than the strict fruitarian diet. (Some natural hygiene-type diets fall into this category.) The 75% fruit figure is used as a convenient standard. However, those who have a 74% fruit diet are still at high risk, as are those at 70% fruit and so on. The optimum fruit percentage must be determined on an individual basis, as sugar tolerance varies by individual.

• The people at the heart of the fruitarian movement. Most important of all: many of the people following a fruitarian diet, or who are interested in the diet are sincere, decent people. Certain fruitarian extremists, by their aggressive, hostile, and/or intellectually dishonest behavior, have deliberately excluded themselves from this category. However, we want to acknowledge that in our observations, the majority of the individuals following (or interested in) a fruitarian diet are sincere, decent people

Maintaining nutrient levels

You should take care with a fruitarian diet to ensure sufficient consumption of certain nutrients, by identifying and including the appropriate sources of:

• calcium

• energy

• iron

• riboflavin

• vitamin B12

• vitamin D

Do not try fruitarian diet for weight loss out of fear of cooked food, mucus or protein. If you choose to try fruitarian diet for weight loss, do so ONLY if you have clear, positive reasons to motivate you, and do watch for signs of ALL the potential problems listed here. A fruitarian diet that includes protein foods and leafy greens will pose fewer risks/problems than a 100% fruit diet.

Don’t Think That The Zone Diet Is Just Some Old Fad

I often listen to people around me and can sometimes be quite surprised when I hear some of the comments and statements that are made. By the way, it’s not that I’m nosy in anyway, let’s just say that I tend to be slightly more inquisitive than most.

I spend a great deal of my time discussing the various types of diet plans on the market and one of those plans that crops up more often than not is The Zone Diet. People seem to have their own set opinions regarding this diet and don’t always fully understand the ins and outs of it.

What Is The Zone Diet?

Well let me start off by saying that the Zone Diet is not just a ‘balanced and delicious eating plan’ as many would have you believe. The Zone Diet in all it’s entirety is a way of life. The plan is actually one of the more medically approved programs and is one of the most well known low carb high protein diets. Popularized in books by US biochemist Barry Sears, the Zone Diet is based on the concept of achieving a balance between insulin and eicosanoids.

The plan is based on the theory of 40/30/30 — which means that 40% of calories should be from carbs, 30% from protein, and 30% from fats. However, critics make the assumption that the diet is somewhat ‘complicated’ and it’s biggest draw back is that it is a very restrictive plan; however, Sears defends this criticism.

Whether you are interested in weight loss or improved health, The Zone Diet or The Zone Diet At Home, is the most convenient and tasty way to achieve your goals. Celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and even Madonna, all swear by the plan. A low calorie and high protein diet just may be the result of graceful aging, however, ultimately, it’s down to you - if you don’t maintain the healthy eating habits, you won’t stay slim.

How Do I Start The Zone Diet Plan?

There are a number of online services providing some of the best weight loss programs and diet plans available so be sure to take advantage of this information and employ it to your full advantage. Very often, this information is free so you should be able to get all the advice you need to help you decide if the diet may be right for you.

If you have made up your mind to lose those extra pounds you’ve added over the years then the Zone Diet I believe is great contender. You should always lose weight through healthy eating and regular exercise and this is what will keep that extra weight off permanently. Adopting healthy eating and exercise habits can be difficult to say the least, but most experts agree that a balanced diet is the most effective way to accomplish both healthy eating and weight loss goals.

Restricting foods and food intake is going to restrict calories and a low calorie diet, by any other name, will lead to weight loss. The main factor in Zone Diet is the hormonal balance you achieve while eating each cleverly prepared meal.
