Safe and Effective Weight Loss

Seems like everyone in today’s health community is concerned with safety: safe training, safe dieting, “Now don’t cheat on that last rep, you’ll hurt yourself”, “Now don’t try to lose more than one pound per week, it’s unhealthy.”

Safety is obviously a necessity… to a certain extent.

Let me illustrate.

Policemen are without a doubt required to maintain order and security, so people can feel safer.

Now how would you feel if you had a tough cop armed with a machine gun, walk by your side all day long: into your office, when you’re shopping, or training, when you go to bed… and who even follows you to the bathroom?

Would you feel safer? Or rather uncomfortable… no make that nervous and irritated? Wouldn’t you feel somewhat hindered?

What I’m trying to say is that more often than not, dieters become so obsessed with this safety thing that it interferes with their progress.

And sure enough, their supposedly “expert mentors” are the ones to blame.

Here’s a related story:

There’s a nutritionist in our town. She’s quite popular and very fond of “safe dieting”.

Some ten years ago, my dad had decided to abandon the obese community and join the lean league.

He was eventually referred to this safety-fanatic dietician who put him on a safe diet, so he could safely lose weight and safely become thin.

And guess what happened after a month?

My dad saw No results, was so frustrated, depressed, and he safely decided to… Quit.

The bottom line?

You have to shake it up and be a little adventurous.

See, humans were not created to stagnate. We were created to evolve, to improve.

The safety obsession can easily destroy all of your dieting efforts: you will get into a rut, never dare trying something new or attempt to exceed yourself.

Therefore, don’t be afraid to go on a wild ride every now and then and push yourself to the dieting extremes.

Now I’m not talking about throwing yourself adrift from the side of a cliff. I’m just suggesting that you try some bungee jumping every now and then.

You get the idea.

Stay away from illogical and obviously wrongful approaches but at the same time don’t be over-concerned with safety.

You owe it to yourself to improve.

God bless.

Meopause

Menopause is a naturally-occurring part of life for a woman, and it occurs when the ovaries stop producing estrogen and progesterone, two essential hormones that make-up a woman’s reproductive ability, thus ending her menstrual cycle. It usually occurs between the ages of 40 and 58 (the average age is 51). Though rare, menopause can also occur as early as the 30s or as late as the 60s.

The aforementioned symptoms are tell-tale signs of menopause, and they can last for months, sometimes years.

As with most changes in life, menopause comes in stages. The first stage is dubbed as “pre-menopause,” where a woman’s period cycle has become erratic, but she has not yet experienced many other symptoms of menopause. The second stage, peri-menopause, is when menopause’s beginning classic symptoms are “all around” (as the prefix “peri” indicates), like hot flashes and significant irregularities in her period cycle. The actual “menopause” stage is next, which refers to a woman’s last menstrual cycle. Lastly, post-menopause kicks in when a woman has not had her period for at least a year. After this, of course, women are postmenopausal for the remainder of their lives.

While the prefix “post” typifies the end, menopause symptoms never actually end. In fact, some women put themselves through a number of therapies to alleviate symptoms like acupuncture, aromatherapy and Shiatsu.

The electronic manual will tell you about these therapies and several more on just how effective they are. In addition to that, the electronic manual will give you hordes of information designed specifically for menopausal women and how best to treat the symptoms that accompany it. For instance, you’ll find out how to get rid of hot flashes and night sweats, tips on how to sleep as soundly as you used to, how fat-soluble vitamins affect your body, why menopause happens in the first place, the secret benefits of beans in a woman’s diet and much, much more.
